Immediadent is not for children! - tell your friends
Do not take your children to Immediadent!
We had a very poor experience with the dentist company Immediadent. Our 12 year old daughter developed a toothache a couple of weeks ago, so we made her an appointment at your facilities for the next day. We found out that she needed a root canal but since there was an infection they were going to have to wait before they could perform the procedure. That was very understandable. We made an appointment for today, July 17th at 1:30, and for the sake of courtesy she and my wife arrived early. The appointment was at 1:30 and they were called back at 2 P.M.. The only reason I mentioned this is because after waiting a half hour past a scheduled appointment the root canal was not carried out. Here is the reason why.
My daughter, being twelve years old, was a little frightened, so she asked if her mom could come back with her. She was told no, but that's understandable. Being a man who owns his own business, I know what liabilities are.
So there my daughter was, sitting in the dentist chair when the dentist approached her, without introducing himself (not an uncommon courtesy to extend a patient from a doctor, or dentist) and asked her to open her mouth. She asked him, very politely, if she could have a minute to prepare herself. The dentist got up and walked out of the room and told her to "tell your mom to take you somewhere else!" Just like that! When my wife asked speak to him the lady at the front, Karen, said he "does not want to see you", and sent her away. I called the dentist office soon after they returned home and was told of the horrible way they were treated. The lady on the phone began telling me that my daughter -threw her hands up and jumped out of the chair- When I asked my daughter of this account she said its not true.
Our daughter is not a liar, nor an exaggerator. When she gives you a detailed account of events you can be sure to get an accurate picture. In the past, she has always told me the truth, even if she knew she was going to get in trouble. She is an honor roll student who this very year received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.
Our daughter is twelve. She has never had anything done like this to her before and she was feeling a bit anxious and all she wanted was a minute to get comfortable to the idea of a strange man, who did not introduce himself by the way, drilling her mouth. This is Friday and we are having trouble finding her another appointment, so more than likely she is going to have to live with this tooth problem until we can find another dentist to do the procedure.
I feel really bad for our daughter, not only because her tooth is still causing her excruciating pain, but because she was punished because someone wanted to get home early. How can I tell her to trust anyone, now? I told her to trust the dentist and he turned out to be a total douche bag.
